Flowers be blooming, people be pushy, cultists be calling for Willy Wonka? Not sure why. But I'm glad I get to turn into a sponge.

Thanks for the fun

i had fun! i didnt find one of the cards needed though ;( i kinda felt i was running around not knowing where i've been (though having flipped cards helped ><)

We linked in the end of the description a video with the puzzle solutions, in case you are curious to see the rest of the game :)

I really like the idea of this, I didn't finish because I didn't know what I was looking for, most of the regular stuff shouldn't have had to be flipped over, the special stuff and inventory definitely, but it was too open ended, I didn't know what to do. This has a ton of potential though, love the look and audio as well. Great job!

Whaat, nooo, no there's no cursed stuff going on here, what were you talking about?? ;) Dino's however very much yes!

Jokes aside, really fun melody & card flip & walking mechanics. I played the game at Half speed because I got fused with the golden ace, when I got teleport-ed I lost my buddy, did all I could to re-fuse & complete the game like that. XD

Had great fun finding all Easter eggs & completing the game! :D

Had some good chuckles reading your comment ahahaha - TO UNDERSTAND THE ACE, YOU MUST BECOME ONE WITH THE ACE!

Thank you so much for playing the game!

An epic and wholesome tale of a man on a quest to find his lost dog. Told in a very unique way, with cards!

*** Warning Spoilers! Continue at your own risk. I recommend you play the game for yourself ***

Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this game, Ooh card flipping... Ooh the cards are items... Ooh the cards are EVERYTHING. OOH Dinosaurs... ooh cultists...? Ooh... corpse?

The game sucks you in with such a novel and cute aesthetic and over time as your character visibly descends into madness you also began to unravel the truth of the world.

I absolutely loved the exploration and card flipping. Building the world as you travelled and giving context to cards with other cards nearby helped build a visual in my head of the area i was in. The people and the animals reacting was so cool. And the game communicated the goal very clearly with just some purple cards and empty boxes. Very well designed.

I did get lost when I was supposed to find the bread. I didn't realise the naked showering guy in the park dropped it. But once I got it there was no other real issues. And when you scare the birds away and all the cards fly away I instantly knew I was playing something unique that was made with love.

Artistically the world is very barren which is exactly what gives the cards and their context meaning. Flipping over a bunch of buildings turns that barren landscape into a street. Flip over a bunch of trees and you're in a forest. You don't need to know more than that and it all makes perfect sense. The characters face changing throughout the game was great and reminded me a lot of Disco Elysium and the mirror.

The audio was fine for the most part the cards having appropriate sounds was great and gave some nice character to the world. The greatest part about the audio though was when the music stopped and things got serious.

I would say the one thing I really didn't like was the "Dave" reveal. It just kinda felt a bit "eh" with me. Other than that I loved everything else about the game.

Is there more to discover with the black cards or is it just some cool little "somethings not right" points to put the player on edge? I would love to know if there's more to the game that I missed or not.

If there's plans to develop this further I'd love to see it. But to be honest it feels like a pretty complete and well told story. It would be hard to imagine a bigger game and world created this way, but I'd love to see it.

Thank you so much for your words, it means so much to us!!
To answer your questions: we also feel like the story we wanted to tell is pretty much completed, and we don't plan to expand on that.

What we do plan to expand a little bit on, also answers your other question: no, currently the black and golden cards are just fun-to-see easter eggs, we didn't got the time to further explore them, but we are planning to implement some kind of side-puzzle for them - something that will not be necessary to finish the game, but will unveil some cool secrets :)

Thank you :)

I think the variety of things you’ve done with simple cards is ingenuous. (won’t give examples as they’re spoilers)

With such a simple tool, you’ve shown that the possibilities are endless and I feel that adds a nice bit of charm to your game and gives it character. This is unique and fun!

“Definitely the end of the map” is a cool touch as well :D … so many little pieces of attention to detail in here that I keep finding.

I want to see where this game goes after the game jam!

Eye catching game, and delivered. The mood and the humor is very cool, but the puzzles were kinda confusing. Little hints, objectives like in Untitled Goose Game would've helped a lot. The small secrets felt very rewarding to find, but I would love to have more things to do as an overall experience.

I would definitely pay for something like that in a fully fledged version with some adjustements. Congrats !

Thank you very much for your feedback! We had many more features planned for the game, but time constraints prevented us from including them all. In our latest build, we've made the puzzles more intuitive, ensuring that the colors and paths are more logical and cohesive.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to play our game. As this is our first project as a team, we truly value every interaction and piece of feedback we receive.

Great game! Pixel art is on point, humorous, and iconic, with charismatic characters and stunningly expressive faces on the MC. Sounds and music are amazingly executed, the BG theme is mysterious, ominous, but fun at the same time, hitting a perfect thematic balance with the game itself and the art, which are both also comically dark. Very well executed all around, with a story line very engaging and fun to follow, with a refined and, again, dark and comic satisfactory ending.

For me, the game crashed a few times, closing the browser, while on full screen. Playing not on the full screen was fine.

Thank you for taking your time to play our game, Leo! We'll be checking it out about this crashing error.

Thanks for all your compliment. We really appreciate :)
